Poem: Abeni

Sometimes,life plays songs
on threads of spiderweb
for guitar’s string
in the stages and pages of our every sunrise to sunset.
May life’s palm wine tapper tap you wine
wine that stench not.
May life’s waitress serve you this wine’s settlement.

Note: Abeni is a feminine Yoruba name.
